My journey with mental health has been deeply personal. I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, and insomnia myself, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges. Witnessing others around me also struggle with mental health issues has fueled my passion for advocacy. This drive motivated me to pursue a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in social work. Through my journey, I’ve realized the power of writing for personal healing and empowerment. Writing is not just my passion; it’s how I reclaim control of my narrative and share experiences with others.
As an Asian American with lived experience as a minority, I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity in supporting well-being. I approach my work with a beginner’s mind, always open to learning more. I also respect clients as experts of their own lives. Empowering individuals to take control of their mental well-being is my goal. I aim to provide tools and support to help them recognize their capacity for meaningful change.
Driven by my commitment to social justice and accessibility, I’ve created With Tian – both a blog and a YouTube channel, sharing the same name. I aim to accommodate different learning preferences. The blog offers in-depth articles on mental health, while the YouTube channel provides supplementary video content.
